This has been a remarkable journey for me. Regarding weight loss, everything positive has happened to me.
At the end of 5 weeks (of Big Loser Challenge), I lost 13 pounds. Four months ago my cholesterol was 246. Now it is 216. My energy level has increased, and I feel really good.
I am convinced that the best way to loose weight and keep it off is to exercise regularly and eat five servings of fruits and vegetables daily. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water each day is also imortant.
Also, it is extremely important to keep a daily journal and to count calories.
Loosing weight has not been easy, but it can be done with the right mind set and by following good eating habits. And it is even better having a coach to encourage you along the way on your weight loss journey.

After joining Weight Watchers last July 2008, in September 2008, I noticed a big, yellow banner hanging outside of Ladies Workout Express advertising a free trial membership for 1 week. I must admit it was a BIG step walking through that door, but here it is, September 22, 2009, a year later, and I have lost a total of 30.75 inches and 38.5 pounds for a TOTAL of 69.25 pounds and inches! A year ago I would have never believed this would be possible and while changing my body, I would meet such wonderful, caring, funny women who have become like family!
I can't say enough about the manager, Carol, who cheers me on as she does for everyone. We laugh and have fun while losing pounds and inches. It's one big family there and I look forward to coming each weekday. I give myself a break on Saturday and Sunday. It is now a way of living (both Weight Watchers and Ladies Workout Express). I know now that you can't do one without the other! It is a "Way of Life."
Justine Monahan took over as the owner recently and has added a variety of classes that are avaialble if you want to do something in addition to the circuit and cardio room. Many of the women have tried the classes and love them. I just tried my first classes and I decided on "YOGA". I needed something that would be calming at the end of the day for me. We also have ZUMBA, and a lot of my friends love that class as well. We now have a separate studio for classes which is a plus.
It has been a life-changing year for me and I thank Ladies Workout Express for that change!
